DR Testing

Select a supported resource and execute a controlled recovery-validation scenario. It answers: Can this resource recover as expected today?

Views can include Kubernetes workloads, managed compute groups, virtual machines, and managed databases. Exact actions depend on the installed cloud integration, target configuration, permissions, and licence.

Business value: converts a recovery assumption into a measured, timestamped outcome.

Monitor

Monitor provides a read-only timeline of relevant cloud audit activity and resource posture. Filters are applied explicitly; the open view refreshes periodically and also provides Refresh now. Cloud audit sources are eventually consistent, so recent events can take time to appear.

Business value: exposes material changes between exercises and helps identify who changed what and when.

Risk Register

Prioritize resilience gaps such as missing redundancy, stale evidence, objective breaches, or unsupported configurations. Open an item to review its cause, owner, evidence, and recommended action.

Business value: turns technical findings into an accountable remediation backlog.

Backups

Inspect supported backup and recovery assets exposed by the configured cloud integration. Creation or restoration requires the relevant feature, customer approval, and cloud permissions.

Business value: connects recovery validation to the assets that make recovery possible.

Automation

Plan approved one-time exercises and, where licensed, schedule supported validation and pre-test checks. Native backup policy remains managed by the customer's cloud platform.

Business value: makes validation repeatable without turning Trinetra into an uncontrolled mutation system.

History

Use History as the audit trail for completed and attempted validations. Filter by date, resource category, result, and target. Each completed run should identify the evidence object and digest.

Business value: provides traceability for reviews, audits, reporting, and remediation follow-up.

Assessment and Objective validation

  • Assessment records observed recovery without requiring approved objectives and does not claim PASS or FAIL.
  • Objective validation compares observed measurements with approved RTO/RPO targets and returns PASS or FAIL.

Use Assessment for discovery and baselining. Use Objective validation after the business owner approves the target and measurement method.
